Situated within in the heart of Dublin 3 and within striking distance of the internationally renowned iconic Croke Park Stadium this project involved a complex regeneration of the oldest distillery in Dublin. Whilst remaining sensitive to the historic features of this magnificent building the promoters and design team completely redeveloped the entire site whilst adhering to the strict planning guidelines and preservation orders associated with one of Dublin’s landmark distilleries. Indeed the transformation was such that it is recognised as a new benchmark for developments of its type.
The development involved a complete restoration of the existing brickwork and associated façade and the recycling of as many existing elements of the building as was practical.
The development now consists of fifteen exclusive apartments and two penthouse apartments all designed to accentuate an open plan loft type style development.
In tandem with this the promoter developed a thirty bed state of the art nursing home development at the rear of the property which is a benchmark for developments of its type. The architect managed to strike a fine balance between retaining the original internal features of the building whilst also developing a bespoke medical facility .
Indeed this development has established such a reputation it is widely used by producers within the film and TV industries for scenes to be shot on location .
This development truly is unique and is a perfect example of the how the developer and architect dovetail and bring projects to life right through from concept stage to completion.
Total value of the project upon completion€45 million
